Position Summary:

  • The role of the Senior Account Executive is to generate and grow revenue from direct local and regional advertising accounts through broadcast and digital sales to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • This position is considered an outside sales position and requires that the Account Executive be out of the office more than 50% of the time conducting sales activities with clients.
  • You should enjoy consultive selling, visiting, and helping your clients as you become an integral part of their local and regional marketing strategies.  

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain current and new station advertisers through prospecting and excellent interpersonal skills that convey confidence in your ability to guide and help your clients
  • Primary responsibilities will include cold calling, developing new accounts, increasing share with existing clients, writing proposals, coordinating commercial copywriting and production with the help of your internal staff
  • Be a creative thinker and develop ideas and advertising campaigns that optimize your on-air programming to help your clients reach their business objectives
  • Build relationships and sell radio/digital media as a marketing solution to help clients meet their key business challenges
  • Follow up on sales orders and ensure client satisfaction
  • Ensures sales orders are submitted and processed according to company policies and procedures
  • Visit your clients in their offices and premises to build relationships and better understand their business objectives, and customers.
  • May require client outings, sports, entertainment and other client events to host and attend as a representative of the company in a professional manner as a representative of the firm.
  • Troubleshoot issues as necessary

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • A minimum of two to ten years of professional direct selling experience in Media B2B/Outside Sales, with a demonstrated track record of meeting aggressive sales goals preferred.
  • Honed direct media sales experience with:
  • ​ Radio and or Digital, Print, TV, OTT, OOH, all are welcome
  • Must be a motivated and enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Should enjoy meeting new people as a valued business partner to help your clients meet their business goals through broadcast and digital media.
  • MS Office skills ie. (Power Point, Excel and Word) are an asset and the ability to learn the company's CRM system and sales tools.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be detail-oriented with good follow-up skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced productive environment
